After the reveal of the Dark Souls: Remastered’s developer, players have been eagerly waiting what was coming next from the duo of Virtuos and Bandai Namco. Players have to wait no more, as a new gameplay trailer from Dark Souls: Remastered has released.
Check out the trailer below:
This is the first gameplay trailer for the remastered version of Dark Souls and it looks just as brutal as it did when the game originally released in 2011. The trailer shows many enemies, looking crisper than ever with updated graphics and framerates. With this trailer also comes other exciting news, such as that pre-orders for Dark Souls: Remastered are now live.
Players are now able to pre-order the game from not only the game’s website, but also on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Marketplace, and Steam as well. When players pre-order game, they can receive a myriad of different things depending on which platform they play Dark Souls: Remastered.
If players pre-order the game on the PlayStation Store, they’ll receive a Dark Souls: Remastered PS4 theme. Players who decide to preorder on the Xbox Marketplace won’t receive any cosmetics or themes of any sort, but will be able to pre-load the game ahead of the May 25 release date. Last but certainly not least, if players pre-order the game on Steam, they will receive a 50% off discount if they already own a copy of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition.
However, the Nintendo Switch version of the game has hit some bumps in the road. While Nintendo stated in their Nintendo Direct that Dark Souls: Remastered would be out for the Switch at the same time as PC, Xbox One, and PS4, there have been some unreleased issues, which have delayed the game and the Solaire amiibo. There has been no confirmed date for this yet, but Nintendo Switch players can hope that the game releases sooner rather than later.
Looking further into these pre-orders, we can see that all versions across all platforms retail for $39.99 (except if players have Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition on Steam) and will release for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on May 25. This seems to have players excited as ever to jump right back into the world of Lordran and get back to defeating some of the most notorious bosses in video game history. Praise the Sun!
Dark Souls: Remastered is set to release on May 25 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 with a Nintendo Switch release slated for summer of 2018.
