We’ve been hearing a little bit about the HTC U11 Plus recently, but more and more details are starting to come to light; and now, the handset has shown up in a set of benchmarking results to give us a neat little run-down of the specs.
Bear in mind, of course, that benchmark results can be faked, so do take this with a cautionary pinch of salt. That said, there’s enough evidence mounting up that an HTC U11 Plus is definitely in development and some of these specs do align with what wev’e heard before.
The handset was spotted in the GFXBench database, listed as the HTC2Q4D1 running Android 8.0 Oreo. The tell-tale giveaway is the fact that this handset has been rumoured with a true edge-to-edge display of the type we’ve seen on the Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8, LG G6, iPhone X, and Huawei Mate 10 Pro, which means an 18:9 aspect ratio. The results show a 6in display with a resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels, which would fit that aspect ratio perfectly.
The rest of the specs also fall into line with what we’ve heard already, or what we’d expect of an HTC U11 follow-up. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with Adreno 540 GPU and 4GB of RAM. Plus 64GB of onboard storage and an identical camera to the HTC U11; a 12MP single primary sensor and an 8MP front-facing secondary.
We already know HTC is hosting a November 2 event, according to recently leaked details. It’ll take place at HTC’s Taipei HQ.
