The Oculus Rift VR headset is on sale for six weeks to US customers
This one’s for our US readers. In the States, the Oculus Rift has had its price slashed by a signfiicant $199 as part of a limited time Summer of Rift offer. The usual RRP for the device, plus two touch controllers bundled-in, is $598, however, for a limited time you can pick the whole package up for just $399.
“Summer of Rift is all about celebrating the VR community and encouraging new people to get in the game. Today, we’re excited to announce that Rift + Touch are now available at $399 for a limited time,” the firm said in a blog post.
This offer comes direct from the Oculus Rift webstore, but it’s only running for six weeks from July 10, so you pretty much have until around August 20 to take advantge of it.
Over 500 VR titles are currently available for the Oculus Rift, it’s one of the best supported PC-based VR headsets alongside the HTC Vive. Best of all, this discounted Summer Sale price is coming at the same time as Steam’s massive Summer Sale, which will see a huge number of gaming titles, many of them VR and Oculus Rift compatible having their prices slashed.
