Sony releases a list of games attendees will be able to try out at The PlayStation Experience in Anaheim this weekend, ranging from major upcoming releases to recent crowd pleasers.
The PlayStation Experience is nearly here, which aims to be a bigger and better version of last year’s event. With its approaching arrival, Sony has now revealed a massive list of playable games attendees can peruse.
PlayStation Experience attendees will have plenty to keep them busy, as there will be over 100 games for players to try out on the show floor. According to the full list on the official PlayStation blog, there are still a few playable games that won’t be revealed until the doors open. However, that doesn’t make the list any less impressive, as it already contains upcoming games like Resident Evil 7, The Last Guardian, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Nioh. Many games that have recently released will also make an appearance, like Watch Dogs 2 and Batman: Arkham VR, as well as new additions to released games, like the recently announced co-op Survival mode for Uncharted 4.
If the slew of games isn’t enough, there should be plenty to keep attending gamers to busy during their visit. The PlayStation Experience will also be holding panels, seeing the return of the Capcom Cup competition, and for the first time, giving attendees the opportunity to go to autograph signings by major game development players like Hideo Kojima.
Although the PlayStation Experience is only just now reaching its third year, it appears to be a massive success for Sony. Originally starting out as a moderately-sized event in Las Vegas, it then migrated to San Francisco, and will be held in Anaheim for 2016, in one of the largest convention centers in the country. Attendance has also skyrocketed, and judging from the warnings on the official PlayStation blog, not every attendee will be able to have a chance at getting into the PlayStation Showcase, as entrance will only be offered on a first-come first-served basis.
With the holidays rapidly approaching and Sony attempting to encourage gamers to buy a PlayStation VR as well as the PlayStation 4 Pro, this is a great opportunity for the company to market to its most loyal customers. The PlayStation Experience also helps to make up for the fact that gamers can’t attend major game conferences like E3, which probably explains part of the PSX’s booming popularity. There’s no telling yet if the event will hold any major surprises like last year’s reveal of footage from the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake, but rumors have swirled that one of the major surprises could be announcing The Last Of Us 2. In any case, chances are that Sony is keeping the best part of the show under wraps for now.
The PlayStation Experience will be held in Anaheim, California from December 3-4.
