Download Sun Next App, SunNext Com, Sunnextapp, Sunnxtapp, Sun Next App Download, Sun NXT App Download – The Sun TV Network has finally ventured into crowded video streaming service in India by launching its own OTT app enabling users to catch the entertainment on the go. The streaming space is already competitive and occupied by local players like Hotstar, Bigflix, Voot and international players like Amazon Prime and Netflix.
However, Sun NXT targets only South Indians who speak Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. When it comes to regional market, there are only a few rivals. Being the top network in south India, it will easily reach its targeted audience. It is the first app from the network, similar to Amazon Prime or Netflix, aims at providing seamless access to movies, TV channels, Live TV and more. The app is available for Android and iOS supported devices. Download the app by heading to Google Play store app on Android and App Sore on iOS.
Unlike Amazon Prime or Hotstar, you won’t be able to access any free content unless you sign up. You need to choose any of the available subscription plans in order to avail the service – Rs 50 (monthly), Rs. 130 (Quarterly) and Rs. 480 (Annually). The first month subscription is free, however, you need to pay for it while signing up which will be refunded or adjusted towards the second month billing.

Sun NXT is the digital division of Sun TV Network, headed by Kalanithi Maran’s daughter Ms. Kavya Maran. She created a whole new team under her leadership working on the app. With the largest collection of 4000+ movies with the latest satellite rights acquired by the network and regional channels including Tamil, Telugu, Malayam and Kanaada, the high definition content will easily lure people to subscribe to the app.
Like Amazon and Netflix which produce exclusive original series, Sun NXT is in talks with several creative productions to create Sun NXT exclusive web series. They are also planning to produce exclusive premium shows and series for Sun NXT customers.
Sun NXT offers everything ranging from movies to TV shows in HD quality. Users will be able to choose the video quality in line with their internet speed. It also supports offline viewing so you can download videos and movies when you are accessible with Wi-Fi connectivity. Users can create multiple profiles in their own language (English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada).
The Sun NXT app is in the early stage when compared with other streaming services like Amazon Prime, Netflix or Hotstar. Amazon Prime lets you watch up to three screens simultaneously, while Netflix and Hotstar offers two screen and a single screen, respectively.
If you want to view the content of the app, you need to subscribe, so paying Rs50 per month or Rs. 480 per year isn’t worth with juts the content that you watch on television. The app is still in the early stage with minimal features and charging customers for the content that is available on television isn’t fair enough rather the company should make it free on trail basis until they have something exclusive to its customers. Amazon Prime and Netflix offer exclusive original content to their customers and the subscription fee is nominal for the included features.
When you set up payment method while paying for Sun NXT for the first time, you are automatically enrolled to auto-renew payment. Therefore, you’ll be charged each month or year automatically and if you want to opt out of the auto-renew payment method, you need to apply for it separately (which is not clear at this time, we have asked further details and will update once we get reply from them).
