Destiny 2 has had a tumultuous year, not only did the Forsaken expansion fail to live up to expectations, but Bungie announced that it was separating from Activision. Despite these significant changes, Destiny 2 is still getting a steady stream of content. On March 5, the “Season of the Drifter” will begin, bringing with it new modes and an increase to the Power Level.
The current Power Level cap is 650, but on March 5 it should go up to 700. There are plenty of activities to help you reach that goal, and even more are coming. Aside from the new level cap, new modes like “Gambit Prime” and “The Reckoning” are the stars of the show. According to a report by Polygon, Gambit Prime is “a new class-based version of Gambit with unique rewards” and The Reckoning is “a matchmade activity that pits players against enemies inside The Plains of the Nine.”
Even to this day, Gambit is a little imbalanced so hopefully Bungie will work out the issues with these new mode before launch. However, there may be a lot of tweaks in the coming weeks to make sure no one feels like they’re at a disadvantage.
Do you still play Destiny 2? Let us know. Hopefully this new content will keep players coming back for more, and entice those who left to pick up the hobby once more.
