It is safe to say that many Fallout fans were very excited when Bethesda announced that Fallout 76 was in the works and set to be released later this year. It seems though some fans were so excited for the upcoming game that they even went as far as to predict what the new game’s map will look like by creating their own.
Earlier this month, a Twitter user by the name of Oscar Armstrong-Davies posted a prediction of the Fallout 76 map that he had created based off an image of the map that had been featured in a Noclip documentary about the making of the game. Since then, a group of ardent Fallout fans has come together on Twitter and Reddit to help Armstrong-Davies work towards creating a more accurate fan-made version of the new title’s map.
Update 7 for the #fallout76 map. Now with more Space Station!

There has been a total of seven updates to Armstrong-Davies’ initial map so far, with location names being added and moved around as more information becomes available and fans of the series continue to send suggestions.
It is important to note that while Bethesda has not revealed the game’s map as of yet, the publisher has mentioned key areas players can expect to find in the game along with confirming that it will be four times larger than that in Fallout 4. It must all be stated that the map featured in the Noclip documentary was still a work in progress and it is very possible that the final map featured in the game may differ on some level.
It will be interesting to see how closely Armstrong-Davies’ map is to the final version included in Fallout 76. As with all fan-made content, differences are to be expected but with all the content about the game that has been made available – from talk of nukes to mods – there definitely is a chance that some features of the map may turn out to be accurate. Just how accurate though remains to be seen.
Fallout 76 is due to be released on 14 November 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
