The best Samsung Galaxy S9 cases

Samsung only launched its Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus at the end of February – and the phones don’t start shipping until the 16 March – but that hasn’t stopped the first wave of protective cases being unveiled.

The collection, at this point, is relatively slim-pickings but there are a number of options if you’re looking for either fashion, or durability.

Gear4’s range of Galaxy S9 and S9+ cases are made from shock-absorbing material designed to withstand being dropped from up to 13ft, and come in four models: Piccadilly, Oxford, Victoria and Battersea. The Battersea S9 cases come in black and white, and the Oxford comes in black and each cost £34.99.

The Piccadilly case is clear with a black, blue and pink trim and costs £29.99, and the Victoria range features four separate designs: Feathers, Mandala, Palms (as in palm trees) and Streak. These are also clear and cost £29.99 each.

The Speck Galaxy S9 and S9+ folio cases offer three-metre drop-protection with a hidden slot that holds up to three cards, as well as doubling up as a viewing stand.

The plastic Presidio model comes in four colours: black, red, grey and blue, while the leather version is only avilable on brown and black.

The Speck line-up for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ case range includes:

Urban Armor Gear’s Galaxy S9 cases, also available for the Galaxy S9 Plus, come in four models: Monarch, Plasma, Pyro and Pathfinder. They’re sold from the US, but you can get them shipped to the UK for a fee. Each range meets military drop-test standards, comes with five layers of protection and are compatible with Samsung Pay and Samsung Fast Wireless Charging.

The Monarch Series is available in crimson and black for $59.95. The Plyo Series case comes in ‘ice’, ‘ash’, crimson and ‘glacier’ for $39.95. Plasma Series Case is on sale in ‘ice’, ‘ash’, ‘cobalt’ and ‘citron,’ also for $39.95 and the Pathfinder only comes in black and costs $34.95.
