These Seven Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass This Month – Game Rant

For $10 a month, Xbox One owners can subscribe to Microsoft’s innovative Xbox Game Pass service that grants them access to over 100 Xbox 360 and Xbox One titles. While Xbox Game Pass always has a significant number of games available, not all games will stay on the service forever, and in fact, seven titles are scheduled to be removed at the end of the month.

On August 31, Microsoft will be removing seven games from Xbox Game Pass, including three Xbox One titles and four Xbox 360 titles. The following is a list of games that will be removed from Xbox Game Pass at the end of August 2018. Any Game Pass subscribers that want to keep their access to any of the seven games listed below can purchase them at a discount while they’re still on the service.

  • 10 Second Ninja X
  • Galaga Legions DX
  • Pac-Man Museum
  • Pro Evolution Soccer 2018
  • SoulCalibur 2 HD Online
  • The Bridge
  • Tekken Tag Tournament 2

There are a couple of critically-acclaimed games on the list, though they’re a bit older. Both SoulCalibur 2 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 have been highly praised, and the other games on the list have also been well-received to varying degrees. Considering this, some may be disappointed that these titles will no longer be available through Game Pass come August 31, but on the bright side, new titles are being added to the service regularly.

In fact, E3 2018 saw some of the biggest Game Pass additions to date, including the likes of Tom Clancy’s The Division and Fallout 4. Microsoft plans on hosting a Gamescom event this coming week as well, and it’s not out of the question that more big Game Pass games will be announced.

In the meantime, Game Pass subscribers have every future Microsoft-exclusive game to look forward to, so the $10 per month fee may end up paying for itself. Later this year, Game Pass subscribers can look forward to playing through Forza Horizon 4 at no additional charge, and future years will bring the likes of Gears 5 and Halo Infinite.
